I recieved and email this morning that my membership payments have been suspended. Is there a reason the project wants me to stop giving them money? Has this happened to anyone else?
Strange.
They took my monthly contribution yesterday.
To SirGrant: Are you sure it wasn't a scam?
Trisquel is such a small GNU/Linux distro, I'd think that scammers would make more money impersonationg eBay and the like.
I'm not a Trisquel member, so nothing like that has happened to me.
I will actually log in and get back to you. I just got an email so it might be a scam. I didn't click on anything.
If you login to paypal does it say it was suspended? If so does it give a reason? Maybe you had a card expire. I don't think there is a problem with my Trisquel membership payments.
Who sent you the email? Paypal, Trisquel, other?... I didn't get any such email.
>Who sent you the email?
I haven't gotten any such email.
Payments going through here.
My FSF donation also got suspeneded and I just got this email from the FSF:
Hello,
Thank you for supporting the Free Software Foundation as a monthly
member. Recently, PayPal sent us a notice that automatic payments to us
were suspended. We have had some issues lately where PayPal erroneously
did this to some of our members. If you did not intend to suspend your
membership payments, could you please log in to your PayPal account to
reactivate them, and let us know you did by replying to this email?
Thank you again for your support.

I'm suspecting the same thing happened with Trisquel. I am calling them now to have it unsuspended.
Have you changed your credit card in your paypal account? Some time ago paypal suspended my automatic payments when I updated my account data.
