My mouse is too fast!

Hey guys,
I just got a new mouse my mother brought for me. However, it is too fast. I tried looking at the settings and i can't change the mouse sensitivity. Can you help me?
P.S: The mouse has a DPI button. How do i get it to work in trisquel?

If it's too fast, slow it down? In GNOME you open System Settings and click on Mouse & Touchpad and adjust the "Pointer Speed" thingy there.

Those buttons are almost always hardware-based, which means they work regardless of the operating system.
