Current version doesn't contain cellular modem. Uses free graphics drivers.
Also supports ethernet.
Oh, I didn't see your comment before starting my own thread. Necunos is out, costing 1200 euro. I think it has something to do with Novena design-wise or technology-wise (SoC). Too bad the WiFi chip firmware is apparently proprietary.
Is battery of NC_1 replaceble?
It is not solvered but screen has to be opened to get access to battery.
Without a modem, why are we even calling it a phone? "A computer with a very small screen and no keyboard" would be more appropriate.

Are they referring to the fact that a modem would track the user? That's true, but it's a problem inherent to the cell network. Indeed the only way to have a privacy-respecting phone is to remove the modem (or permanently disable it with a hardware switch like the neo900 and Purism phone will have) but at that point it is no longer a phone.
