network no working

the trisquel system does not connect to the internet since a few weeks ago.
the tablet and the phone can connect to the internet. using the same routers.
I use two lan cables. both do not work.
the connection info shows that it connects to the internet. but actually it does not.
I plugged a wifi stick to the machine.
it said that it succeeded in establishing the connection but right after that, it cut the connection.
how to connect to the internet?
What do you get when you run this command:
sudo ifconfig

It fixed itself naturally. I probably didn't do anything to it, though. For the first time in a very long time, I am able to use the Internet on my computer.
I still get the "network disconnected" message every so often at the top right corner of the desktop screen , but it seems to be connected to the Internet.
But I am sure this will happen again and again.
Anyway, this is the first time in a very long time...
Sounds like your router and your network cards aren't happy with one another. Do you unplug the power from your router sometimes, like once a week? You should try turning off the power to the router about once a week for 5-10 minutes at a time, and let it get a fresh signal from your internet provider. At the same time, turn off your laptop's power. Then, after the router is working again, re-start your laptop and let it get a fresh connection to the router.
Have you been doing that on a weekly basis? If not, you should try it. If you have been trying that, let me know, and we can try to look at other problems.
