Hi, I had not used Trisquel back then. I was on another fsf endorsed distro which didn't survive.

Did you stop using Trisquel, or just the forum? I imagine there are many users who don't use the forum.

Are you a fan of Dragonball Z? Your username suggest this.

Hello, and thank you for your reply.
I stopped using both, even though I've always kept an eye on FSF endorsed distros.
I've always been a lurker, moving in the shadows, but as I'm growing older I'm starting to feel the need to be in a community.
Yes, back then I was a fan of DBZ, nowdays I'm more Naruto oriented :P.

I think you'll find that this isn't your grandfather's Trisquel. These modern versions run very well and fast, and support a lot of hardware via the de-blobbed kernel.

I am your grandfather Luke... and I would say that since 2010 (maybe before too) Trisquel has always run very well and fast, and supported a lot of hardware via the de-blobbed kernel.

Agree to disagree. That would assume that since 2010 Ubuntu was a good base, which has not been consistently true. But recently things have been working very well. In the mid-2010's, Parabola was the better distro from my testing.

Indeed.

The first version I tried was Trisquel 3.5 in 2010 and everything worked very well. Trisquel 4.0 LTS in the same year was also amazing and I installed in some computers in that year.
