I watched the first part via the recording. Parts 2, 3, and 4 are going to be spoken on October 30, November 13, and December 4. More information and the recording of part 1 is on this web site:
"When the morality of freedom was withdrawn, our State began fastening the procedures of totalitarianism on the substance of democratic society."
"People began to understand within the system that it was being sustained against democratic order, not with it. Because they knew that what had come unmoored had come unmoored in the dark, and was sailing without a flag."
A chilling description. Wonder what the other 3 parts will be. Thanks for the link.
Excellent as always. I had bookmarked the talk series and forgot about it (as so frequently happens lately given the overabundance of information). Thank you for the reminder. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Thank you for the quick response! I've added a link to your files. I now
see a direct link to the WebM format at
http://www.snowdenandthefuture.info/PartI.html, that's just great!

I've liberated the content here:
http://archive.org/details/20131009EbenMoglenSnowdenAndTheFuturePartI
That means it can now be watched on any computing platform supporting
free formats and of course, it can be downloaded without registering to
Vimeo or bypassing its delivery mechanisms.
I wish such videos would be uploaded to archive.org by their authors
every time. I encourage everyone here to write a short, polite note to
the FSF about this: http://www.snowdenandthefuture.info/contact.html
While I recognize the value of uploading to Vimeo, doing it there only
seems to contradict the very ethics/messages brought by such videos.

One of the links is a WebM video on archive.org.
I am waiting for the next parts.
Part II: Oh, Freedom

I love this guy. Very eloquent, very persuasive.
Thank you based Eben
Check out the part III, on the privacy of reading.

(while the .spx is half the size of the .ogg, the quality is in my opinion not good enough, go for the oggy
... or just read the transcript.)
