Moved my files over to a new notebook. Icecat is having the problem of unable to send attachments, so I can't use it and will go with Evolution.
Question: can I transfer my email lists and settings etc from Icecat to Evolution ( as I might with Thunderbird) Or are they different animals?
Thank you.

I'm a little bit in a hurry right now and I haven't read them but searx gave me some links:
https://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/answers/Applications_GUI_Multimedia/Howto_migrate_from_Thunderbird_to_Evolution
And I meant "icedove". So many ices...
Alas, I keep forgetting about the Ubuntu forums...
The problem has been around since last December. You can still use Icedove if you revert to version 31.8. Not sure what the cause is. Mzee opened a ticket in December which is still active. Otherwise you can switch to Thunderbird as well. Although I guess you've made up your mind to switch to Evolution.
Cheers.
I decided on Evolution because it is the default and I assumed trouble free. Thunderbird is fine by me, as would be Icedove 31.8.
With Icedove because of this problem and the fact it isn't being addressed quickly I'm nervous to continue with it.
I recommend claws-mail.
cheers
