I am looking for a USB wifi adapter that supports 5 GHz and works with Trisquel. Does anyone know if there are any available? I've been searching but not having much luck.
There is only one such thing: very rare ath9k-htc USB adapters based on AR7010+AR9280 chipsets. Pick one model from the given link, and beware the hardware revision number.
Which model do you recommend?
The real problem is not which model is slightly better than others. The biggest problem is that they are all very difficult to obtain, even from ebay. So please be content with whatever you could find on ebay.
I have yet to see one other than what Nadebula posted. Any time I see a laptop or desktop being sold that is promised to work with libre distros they always have single band wifi.
