Some help getting ProjectPlaylist To Work In Gnash

I've just installed Trisquel for the first time and have been astonished at the incompatibility world web-wide.
I got Youtube to work by installing Icecat which I would have done anyway.
I trekked across the web, visiting all sorts of sites.
I noticed problems playing alternative flash players, like Jw and Govideo.
I especially noticed problems with mp3 streaming sites like Playlist.com
I tend to like listening to music while I work. Has anyone made any breakthroughs on living with Gnash that could help me?
I am curious too, but I am pretty sure the answer will be that there's nothing you can do besides upgrade to the newest version of Gnash (which, if you install your updates regularly, you probably already have).
While this is very inconvenient (I too liked listening to Pandora in times long ago), I would sooner blame websites for using insecure and slow Flash, and blame Adobe for not releasing their source code, before blaming Gnash or Trisquel. Trisquel isn't exactly in a position to solve these issues, and the Gnash team is doing its best to rework Flash without help from the people who made it. :(
I would never blame Gnash or Trisquel. I made this decision due to my own ethical beliefs. However you should be happy you aren't listening to Pandora, who are now being sued for selling personal info away.
I really wish there was more variety, not just in software but in websites.
There aren't enough Facebook alternatives that are good and there aren't enough playlist sites that are good.
However there are countless video sites around. Not that Flashvideoreplacer can handle them all.
What's the newest version of Gnash and how can I know that I have it?
AndrewT is correct. The latest version of gnash is 0.8.9 and you can always get the source here (http://www.gnashdev.org/). The version packaged in Trisquel is 0.8.8 (http://packages.trisquel.info/slaine/gnash).
The next version of Trisquel which is based off Ubuntu 11.04 should have 0.8.9 but we are always a few months behind.
The latest Gnash is 0.8.9. To check if you have it, open Synaptic Package Manager, search "gnash", and you will be able to see which version you have installed.
The version installed in Trisquel 4.5 is 0.8.8, BTW.
You may be able to get by with Lightspark, the other free Flash player. Gnash implements Actionscript 2 while Lightspark implements Actionscript 3.

Lightspark? I love open-source. You think there's just one alternative and then your mind is always blown.
Can one have them both installed? Or will they conflict?
What sites work with Lightspark?
