T11 Install Fails - Repeats at Same Place

Thanks to all the people who keep this effort going !

I am a T8 user doing a clean install of T11

I am using a new SSD, installing T11 using the
net installer (dated 19 Mar 2023) via USB with a
system where I just tested the RAM in Memtest 86+
(all tests passed)

Using either the "Install" or "Advanced Options"
choices from the T11 installer menu, the installer
failed at the same place in the process - at the:

"Select and Install Software" step in the Trisquel
installer main menu – each time at 1% of the install
progress bar for that step

The red background message that appeared was:

"Installation Step Failed

An installation step failed. You can try to run the
failing item from the menu, or skip it and chose
something else. The failing step is: Select and
install software"

If I attempted the same step, it failed again, if I moved
on to the next step (Install the Grub bootloader), it also
failed - so I could not complete the installation

I tried that twice – using a different mirror on the
second attempt, with no change

Each time I chose the Trisquel Desktop Environment
and no other additional software selections

Any ideas why this is occurring?

The second attempt, I did not wipe the disk after it failed
and I mounted that and pulled the Log folder from var (at
least the files and folders that were not locked)

I can attach a log, if one is helpful in sorting this out
