T430 fan lubrication?

Hi guys.
Maybe not strictly related with Trisquel, but I have a fan in T430 which I would like to lubricate to possibly lower the whinning noise
I'm not sure how to do this since the center plug of the bearing is plastic and tightly put, so I have problems to get in there.
although I found some holes all around the plug, and I wonder if there is a way to put an oil through them? Or what is the purpose of these holes, if anyone knows?
If anyone has any experience in this field I would be more than happy to get any help.
It is a Delta Fan, model KSB0405HA. Picture atached.

Best regards

I don`t think it is a good idea trying to fix and lubricate an old fan. It may cause more problems in the long run with lubricating oil inside the laptop.

A better idea is trying to find a replacement cooler unit, most Thinkpad parts are inexpensive and easy to find.

I have a T420 and I lost count of the stuff I replaced in all those years (ironically the fan on my laptop is making a whinning noise, but I don`t really mind it).

Best regards

Yes I realize there is possibility of oil spil inside, but if I would use the right one and the right way to do it, there should be no problem.
I'm replacing a lot of stuff too (even the cooling, one Delta for another one), but It would be hard to find really silenced fan, since most of them are used to some extend, and the new one can be noisy. I haven't seen the new delta fan, or it would be quite expensive.
My fan is not that noisy, but I would like to make him even less noisy if possible

Having the fan kick in on higher temperatures with some sort of fancontrol while reducing CPU speeds and changing the CPU governor is the best option you're going to have on most laptops.

I have a very low floor sound level and I'm sensitive to noise, so I reduce my CPU speed and governor to a value so that the fan won't come on at all (via tlp). If I need more computing power on occasion I just stop tlp and start it up again when I'm done. One could achieve the same with a small bash script. This works best with modern systems, but I'd give it a try on the T430. There certainly is some fine tuning that can be done.

As mentioned by someone else, buying a new fan is inexpensive. DON'T ADD OIL TO YOUR FAN - YOU HAVE NO CLUE OF WHAT YOU'RE DOING.

I'm using software fan control and cpu voltage reduction for years. That's not the problem. The whining was on the low fan speed levels

I mean noise from low speeds, not high ones.
I already found a way to lubricate it and the noise is gone so the problem is solved anyway.

I hope nothing goes wrong because of that.

The vikings.net developer has his own shop where he sells libreboot devices.

I am sure he knows what he is talking about.

I hope you knew what you were doing though.

actually I did it in my old laptop with the different fan like 10 years ago. It was my first try so it spilled out once or twice but after that I sealed it correctly and used right oil and it works till this day (probably, since I don't use that laptop too often). But it was different fan, with rubber oring instead of plastic sealing like in this one.
