I hate remote starters. Had nothing but issues with my last one to the point that I had it tore out. Couldn't start the car with a key because it had issues with the signal or something. Next time I need a car i'm going for a classic car that has none of this tech.

"We frequently incorporate feedback from customers to ensure we're offering features that are useful and enhance their ownership experiences."

That is deeply disappointing. Users are clearly always looking for the last useless anti-feature to spoil their rental experience.

Now I want a remote start button on my bike.

As an automotive engineer and an owner of a modern Toyota vehicle, I can say that most of the new technologies that happened in the past 25-30 years in the automotive field are in order to make independent workshops unable to repair most things, using locked software and to reduce manufacturing costs.

Electric vehicle engines and the electronics replacing mechanical parts, are not for the public's or customer's interest.

We make electricity from fossil fuel, only to transfer energy from the power factory to the car through a power outlet. What they are going to do with the batteries after they stop working? Car manufacturers say that it is tba...

All about short term profit. Capitalism of the 21st century. O tempora, o mores!
