Transmission BT client - transfer ratios ridiculously high

I've been having a weird issue with the Transmission Bittorrent client since a system update a week or so ago. After a reboot, all the torrents I had been seeding started to download again, and I had to manually verify the existing data on all of them to get them seeding again. Since then, the transfer ratio under the title of those torrents has been out of whack with the data uploaded, for example a 3.43GB torrent that has seeded 20.87GB has a ratio of "671590" (see attached screenshot).
Any suggestions? Is this a known issue or do I need to file a bug?

I really dislike transmission, it messes up frequently for me, especially where it will only download 99% of an ISO. qbittorrent works so much better.
I don't have a technical response, don't understand why transmission is messing up. I just know that I've gotten to where I always replace it with qbittorrent. Hope this is of some small help.
I don't experience such bugs in latest Transmission, either on Debian sid, openSUSE Tumbleweed, Fedora Rawhide, or Arch.
There is a big problem here: You have disowned too much privacy...
Are you sure this is related to updating your system?
Just checked currently available non-security updates for a spare Trisquel 9 machine and there seems to be none related to Transmission. I'll run these updates anyway and let you know.
EDIT: full system update did not affect Transmission: ratios are correct, no re-download.
