Hi,

I've posted this in the french forum a while ago, but switched on the way to a gnome install.
But now I really want to make the netinstall work.
Even through an ethernet cable, it doesn't work.
The netinstall went smoothly, through WiFi.

Here's the error message:

I tried pinging gnu.org, other websites, to no avail.
ping: unknownhost gnu.org

Since I have no connection, the only thing I can do is install some kind of missing driver (maybe from the live CD, since that worked).
The problem is: what to install, and then how?

Any help would be gladly appreciated!

Another weird thing:
pwd gave me home/myusername, and when I went up to the tree, there's only "myusername", no "Images", no "Downloads" folders. I know I copied my home folder before reinstalling, but maybe I did "cut" instead of "copy".
That would mean the install didn't erase everything?
I'm saying this because since my disk was already encrypted, I erased it for about a minute, just as it is suggested on the Libreboot website. Does that mean it didn't erase all the data?? Yet i don't seem to find any.

Plus no nano, only vi. I was expecting pain, but not this much...
Argh anyway, now I have a new message that gives me a bit of hope.
connect:Network is unreachable

I edited /etc/network/interfaces
to
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp

with eth0 instead of lo. Rebooted the machine.
Still no success.

EDIT

I ended up keeping the previous interface (lo for local, not sure what it is yet)
and ADDED the eth0 one. Rebooted. I can sudo apt-get update.
BIG step forward. I'll probably have to fix wifi, but now I'll install a graphical interface and some software first.

Ok, I got gdm and i3wm, and thunar.
It's horribly basic. But i can find my way around.
The disk seems empty (I need to find a way to precisely visualize it), but yeah, the only folders present are username and trashcan. Probably due tu the nature of a minimal install.

So anyway, to me it's a success, I need t configure the wifi and build my system up step by step.

I hope this will help someone in my case (Libreboot + Trisquel netinstall. It F***in' works).
