Trisquel Website Design

I read in the release anouncement that the Trisquel website will be redesigned and want to take this opportunity to express my admiration for the current design which I find highly functional (even without Javascript), easy to navigate, easy to read and well layed out, and asthetic in a pleasingly minimal way with a consistent theme. So my compliments for the current design and best wishes moving foward with the new one!

Got this message through e-mail, as I am subscribed to the
'Trisquel users' e-mail list. Was really curious, clicked on the link,
'Page not found'. Just to be sure, I am accessing the 'Trisquel Website
Design' forum topic through the website... and I am finding not this
message nor the one it was replying to. Guess that both were deleted.
What a pity, I wanted to know more about it.
Kind regards,
Ignacio Agulló.
This is your lucky day, the link it was referring to can also be found there:

Well, thanks for the link. I aspire to be a Stallmanite too.
Kind regards,
Ignacio Agulló.
I also like the current website, I find it clear and good-looking, and it displays much faster than things like discourse, which is commonly used nowadays.
I like the Trisquel site, I hope the new redesign is more XR friendly. The current one doesn't really fit my VR headset well.
If it ain't broke...
Why don't we first find out what the proposed new website design *is* before we comment on it? :)
Well, this thread is about how much we liked the *current* website. Never too late, I guess.
I am mostly waiting to see how the documentation is going to be handled. If now is the time for a major overhaul, I would gladly help.
Because that's not the way we do things.
The site needs a series of updates. It runs on an end-of-life version of Drupal (with security patches, but very old), and the theme is outdated in terms of mobile browsers and accessibility. The styling was also supposed to change following the artwork from new releases, but that takes too much work to do on a legacy site, so it is quite dated.

I am sure the next version of the website will be great, as has been the case with every new Trisquel version. It is amazing how all this has only been going from great to even better.
We will never be able to thank you and the whole Trisquel team, past, present and future, as much as we would like to.
If you are going to upgrade Drupal, you could use this module for GNU LibreJS compatibility: https://www.drupal.org/project/librejs
Or if you are going to migrate to WordPress, I published a similar plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-librejs/
Please fix account deletion in future iterations as it deletes other users data: https://trisquel.info/en/forum/some-forum-posts-have-vanished#comment-171605
From what I understand, it cannot be fixed with the current version.
Hello,
as I am new here, is this (3/4/2023) the new design or still the old one?
March 4 2023?
The website design has not changed.
