"Abrowser detected an issue and did not continue to trisquel.info. The website is either misconfigured or your computer clock is set to the wrong time.
It’s likely the website’s certificate is expired, which prevents Abrowser from connecting securely. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details."
Yes:
Validity
Not After Tue, 21 Oct 2025 15:17:23 GMT
I'm 17 time zones in front of you, so it hasn't expired for me yet.
Good point, I was probably in Tokyo yesterday. Am in Sweden today.
Seems fixed though :)
Not working for me today, I had to approve a security exception. I think maybe the certificate servers have become possessed by demons.
Wow!
Visiting Japan is on my bucket list and Sweden is where I have lived for almost my entire life (still live there).
Yeah, am in Brazil now!
While in Sweden I would have liked to drop by and say hi, but sadly, travel by VPN doesn't allow any kind of itinerary, deviation, or window seat, or ... or ... or... sigh ...:)
Never been to Sweden actually but I really long to go. Sweden, Norway and Finland hold tremendous attraction for me.
opening Trisquel on Icecat today I got the same message as Geshmy. 22nd of Oct.2025 Time 11.20 am. Vienna/Austria
The current certificate says "Not After Sat, 20 Dec 2025 15:19:34 GMT".
The certificate is issued for the trisquel.info domain, it is the same for anyone visiting the Trisquel forum. "Not After Tue, 21 Oct 2025 15:17:23 GMT" meant that the cert expired at that time, no matter which timezone you were sitting on. You can click on "view certificate" when you get the warning and see for yourself. In fact you can always click on the lock sign next to the address, then on "Connection (not) secure" > "More information" > "View Certificate".
The pages were still encrypted (with AES 256 and TLS 1.3 according to Abrower) albeit with an expired cert. So it is highly unlikely anyone could read over your shoulder. Except, of course, the squirrel right behind you.
Thank you. I did not know that the pages were still encrypted after the certificate expired.
The cert has expired, and the site admin is not available at the moment.
Please wait, or accept the exception while it's fixed, there are not much options beyond that.
Regards
If you accept the exception, your password will be sent in plain text via http, will it?
I guess having once accepted the risk Abrowser is ignoring it now and just sending me on through.
Still is broken, but w/e
I'm surprised that it isn't set up to automatically renew.
Its fixed now I notice
I decided to go backward in time before the certificate expired, so I'll be good as long as I stay here in 1984.
How is it for you people out there in the future? Back here in 1984, my father's Zenith Z-100 computer with Z-DOS and dual floppy drives is getting a little bit old. I can't play my text-based Dungeons and Dragons game on it very well anymore. I need an upgrade - do you think I should buy an Apple II or one of those new IBM PC's?
They are using "Let's encrypt", right?
or your computer clock is set to the wrong time
I use time.nist.gov to check my time - an additional measure just to be sure.
