How to make flash or silverlight videos work? Some important flash videos and all silverlight videos do not play in Abrowser.

Which one will play videos that show a silverlight prompt, and which one covers all flash?
Netflix uses Silverlight for digital restriction mechanisms. I'm not aware of any other video streaming site that uses Silverlight, but if they exist, I'd wager to guess that they do it for the digital restrictions, too. Flash Player also has digital restriction mechanisms which are sometimes used. Any such encrypted video is impossible to watch without proprietary software, I'm afraid. You'll just have to learn to live without them, or find an unauthorized copy somewhere else if you're willing to infringe copyright. (Popcorn Time[1] can help you with the latter.)
