Google is working on the ultimate security and privacy feature.

It's called "End-to-End" encryption, and it's the best way to stop anyone from snooping on your emails. Google would turn your emails into jumbled code, and the only person who can see the email in plain text is the trusted person on the other end.

WOULD YOU TRUST THEM? HELL NO!,
Google, Microsoft and Yahoo, We all know they will compromise your e-mail in a second, If some government goes around asking for a copy of your e-mail.

Just a waste of time and effort, unfortunately a lot of users are just simply ignorant to this matter and will believe this corporate hypertension's, instead of researching.

It looks to me like it's just reinventing the wheel. Just use GnuPG with a free/libre email client. It's not as hard as the blog post makes it out to be.

Also, using GPG locally would ensure that Google can't see your emails.

It's worth noting that this program *is* local and it's free/libre software, though since it runs in Google Chrome, it's not outside the realm of possibility for Chrome itself to be snooping on it.

I would usually avoid from necro-bumping, but considering that this section of the forum is dead, I think it's OK.

I /think/ it could be trusted, but one cannot be sure. As onpon pointed out, Chrome could be snooping, so we can never tell.
I'm trying to be in the Google ecosystem as little as possible, but it's rather hard to, considering how Google pretty much rules the world right now.

Is it good for one company to have this much information about people's lives...?

Would you trust Google?

Why would anyone trust Google? They have shown over and over that they cannot be trusted. Just because they use buzz words like "super-secure"?
Google are prime players in the censorship and dumbing down of global society.

You might as well ask "would you read and believe an article on the value of love, marriage and monogamous fidelity in a hard core porn magazine"?

There is no value in "PORN", when you mix the porn industry version of love, marriage and monagomous life style. It is completly charter as "NEW SODOMA AND GOMORRAH," TOTAL PERVASION, ENSLAVEMENT AND SINFUL.

There is no value in "Google" when you mix their view of the world with the understanding that ordinary people have of freedom and privacy.
