Xine Gui plays that last video that won't play.

Truely, I have found Trisquel to be completely funtional and stable with one very small exception.

I interact with a lot of customers who do video work and sometimes there are MS videos that just won't play with the stock release.

So, I installed Xine from Syanptic and the video would load into FF but after it buffered completely it just sat there. (It was full window by the way.)

Nothing "locked up" I just back arrowed and that was it.

The complete answer was to install the Xine GUI, found in Synaptic.

Xine pops it's normal window which is extra-FF and with a click the video plays quite smoothly.

This is not an answer to people who want to do all video within FF but it does work.

If anyone wishes to add or stubract. or offer another, probably more elegant solution, please do so. :)

Sorry, with "FF" you mean the Trisquel's Web Broser Firefox-based?

If im correct on my first assumption then "maybe" mozplugger would make the
work you need, it may be a little bit old (IIRC), but useful anyway.
sudo apt-get install mozplugger

So, please make this as simple as possible, EVEN for newbies.

In order to play all videos
we need to install through synaptic
both
xine
and
mozplugger.

OK?
