Document Viewer suddenly closes when multiple (and large) PDF documents are opened
This issue has taken place at least a couple of times. As you reopen the program it notifies that an unexpected closure took place and allows to recover the documents (the recovery goes fine).
Closing this as user reported it to upstream.
Yes, I was referring to Evince. I'll report it there as well.

This is likely an upstream problem, though. You should report the bug at the Evince website.
