Ubuntu's logo it is used in all desktop icon-themes except the Trisquel one. Trisquel's logo should be used in all icon-themes instead.
A user can manually fix this by replacing all "start-here" icons in /usr/share/icons/gnome/ with equivalent "trisquel" ones from /usr/share/icons/trisquel/
I can confirm this is an issue in 4.0 beta too:
Here's a patch to set the alternatives when trisquel-icon-theme is installed. The patch applies against version 4.0 of the package.
This is my first patch for a package, and I'd like to get involved so please let me know if it needs changes to be useful.
(Edit: I did attach a file to this comment when I wrote it, but I can't see any attachment. I'll try again below.)
Attempting to attach the file again.
It tells me "for security reasons, your upload has been renamed to trisquel-icon-theme.bug-2118.patch_.txt".
Ok, I think I understand now. You have to tick the box next to the attachment that says "list".
This issue is fixed in 4.5. Thank you!
