black screen after installation via text installer

After installing Flidas alpha from the 32-bit ISO and rebooting, I got only a black screen. It's possible that the lack of an interface is that during the text installer I was not prompted to select a desktop environment as in the Belenos text installer.

Reinstalling via the graphical installer fixed the problem.

In the new ISO from 12/24, I am prompted to select a desktop environment during the 'Select and install software step', but if I select 'Trisquel Desktop Environment' I get 'Installation step fails'. so this issue has changed but is not yet resolved.

I'm just checking in to say I experience the same thing.

Trisquel 8.0 support ended in April 2021.
Please open a new issue in case it remains on the current supported release.
