I suggest implementing a "mark as spam" button near each post on the forum. After a post has gathered x spam marks, someone on the team should get an email, suggesting the deletion of said post. The post itself might also be added to the email, in order to simplify the decision.
Ok, I guess I deserved this one. Of all the new accounts created amidst this spam flurry, this was the one on the verge: it didn't really look like a legit user, but theoretically was not yet an spammer... I gave it a pass which has now been paid with half a hundred reality checks.
Don't be too harsh, it's better to have some false negatives, than block a legitimate user...
Twenty four hours after the change, there has been 34 registrations, and of these, only one legitimate account (that also sent the verification mail, btw).

This is not spam but off topic and not in the language of that French section of the Forum
the thread was about the fact that users email address's appear in the mailing list's and not privacy orientated email providers..the result is that 3 email address's appear publicly on this reply from https://trisquel.info/en/users/arescorpio which obliviously has good intentions but the result is exactly the apposite
Thank you for removing this thread ;-)

Hmm, I validated that account since it didn't had any of the usual telltale signs of an spammer. I'll be more wary in the future.

Hi!
We've gotten a recent influx of new spammers using an e-mail domain which usually doesn't allow spammy behaviour, they must've found a way around.
They also ask for activation of their accounts as a real user would do and... I guess I'm definitely too gullible or hopeful to accept that whenever there is the smallest sign that some account could come from a spammer, it will.
Thanks for the report!
Another spammer: https://trisquel.info/users/sekaran00
Thanks a lot for reporting! This was an atipically old account...
https://trisquel.info/users/nthibault registered today to only post illegal spam (twice).
Thanks for reporting, I accepted his account today since I didn't get any particular flags about it, but it was clearly a mistake.
https://trisquel.info/users/taylor-wayne/track created an account two days ago to start https://trisquel.info/forum/smooth-underground-wealth which "offers" COUNTERFEIT BILLS!
Ok, this one is a first and fooled me plenty. I guess not all of us interpret freedom the same way!
Thanks for reporting!
