Trisquel 7 Belenos is based on Ubuntu 14.04. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trisquel#History
Doesn't look like I have any serious reason yet to drop Trisquel.
Still what are my complaints and are they minor? That it doesn't support MATE. Should they have been prepared for this? After all MATE was only released 6+2 months later. I can't expect miracles from them, and why not add the MATE ppa to 14.04 LTS? Also what's wrong with compiling from source?
The good sides are they support Bitcoin, fully free distro and aims to be.

Thus I have to abandon non-free tech "popvoice"(I can focus on mumble+WebRTC). Hmm, ok, this computer should be liberated. Any other non-free tech?
Anyway, for my purposes then we do get lightweight distro. Should work, without MATE at first...
