is it possible to upgrade from trisquel 7 to trisquel 8

without doing a fresh install?

I have trisquel 7 mini by the way, and would like to continue with trisquel 8 mini

Change your repositories from Belenos to Flidas, and you'll be able to do such.

To be honest that's the method I used. The only bug I've found is reported here: https://trisquel.info/en/forum/testing-trisquel-8-upgrade-process

Been using Flidas since than.

You can also run update-manager -d, which allows you to upgrade to prerelease versions
