I am soon going to Japan (Tokyo and Nagoya)
Does anyone know if there is a chance of finding cheap batteries for librebootable devices?

Don't you just need an adaptor for your power cable?
He's asking about batteries, not cables. I think Japan uses the same voltages as the U.S. Don't quote me on that, though.
Why does the battery matter?
Save money or take advantage of a better supply? Make the most of his trip to Japan? Buy something he can't easily find in his native country?
Japanese voltage is 100 at 50/60Hz. All laptop power bricks can handle 100/110--240. Plugs and sockets in Japan are similar to US wall plugs and sockets.
GNUbahn is from Denmark, I think.
Hi GNUbahn, I live in Japan.
If you want to hunt, you should go to the small computer shop of Akihabara for the time being.
I think a major electronic appliances store does not stock.
Just to dismiss the mystery: I am interested in finding cheap batteries for librebootable devices
because....
I need new batteries for some librebootable devices and like to spend my money well! Tada.
I have never encountered problems or even heard of someone who has when bringing batteries in or out of Japan.
Electronic stuff is usually cheaper in Japan, and since I am going anyway, I thought 'why not see if I can find a good cheap battery in the Mecca of electronics?'
Aaji, thanks for the advice. I think I'll do some research first and if nothing specific comes up, I'll go hunting.
And yes, I am from and live in Denmark.
But more proud to be a trisqueleer
