Laravel is a marvelous php framework released under the MIT license.
It is by far the most popular PHP framework in the world and I can't express how much it makes the process of web-development more joyful.
Everybody interested in building web projects with ease should consider using it. Your code will be beautiful and readable.

(I'm not involved in the laravel project and just wanted to tell you guys that this great free software exists).

I use Laravel at work.

At home I use Tor, and I'm blocked by cloudflare in the website of Laravel. The documentation is full of ads and it's only in HTML with (non-free JS) and Markdown, lots of trackers in their website. The website has a Git repository, but it's proprietary because it lacks a license. I told about all this to the main developer of the project (aka main developer, and they don't care). I am planning to make a free replacement for the website.

Don't use Laravel if you can avoid it.

Everything you say is only concerning the laravel website, not the software itself.
If you're so troubled by it, you can just spend 25 euros and buy one of the great laravel books out there. You can buy it in your local bookstore and pay
with cash - it doesn't get any better.

Avoiding the software for the reasons you mentioned does seem pretty silly to me.

Is the practical information in those books under a free license suitable for documentation? According to the FSF, all practical works, of which programs are just one type, should be free.
