is there any all free email client some where? the evolution client that comes by default in trisquel is that case?
If it's included in Trisquel, it's free software. So Evolution is free. I use Mozilla Thunderbird, which is also in the Trisquel repositories. There are other email clients available as well.

I'm not sure what you mean about it being "just open source." I use Thunderbird because I prefer it to Evolution.

Thunderbird, as well as anything else included in Trisquel or in the software repository is free software.

Mozilla Thunderbird is licensed under the MPLv2, which is accepted as an
open source license by the OSI and as a free software license by the FSF.
There is a bug report at the moment for Thunderbird to be rebranded and
modified for Trisquel, due to trademark restrictions and non-free addon
recommendations.

Evolution is free and comes with Trisquel by default. It's in the
Applications Menu under "Internet".
Thunderbird is also very popular and can be installed using Add/Remove
Applications or with the command "sudo apt-get install thunderbird".
Sylpheed comes with Trisquel Mini by default. And there is also Claws Mail.

Isn't icedove just the thing we want instead of thunderbird?
It's listed in the free software directory of the fsf, so I can't imagine it recommending non-free add-ons.

It was mentioned already as an issue
(https://trisquel.info/en/issues/6456). Unfortunately no update yet as
of May 25 2013.
Besides the problem with offering non-free addons, I think there maybe
an issue with the branding as it uses the same license as with Firefox.
For the meantime, I suggest you use Evolution or Claws.
For myself, I don't see any problem using thunderbird, because I don't install non-free addons.
The problem exists only for trisquel, because new and unexperienced users can get tricked into using non-free software.

Kindly correct me if I'm wrong, besides the reason with
suggesting non-free addons and plugins, the reason why Firefox (and
possibly in the future: Thunderbird) wasn't included is because it has a
statement in their branding that it cannot be sold under those names.
And if, it can't be sold, then it would run against Freedom #2 "Freedom
to redistribute copies."
The Free Software Directory includes software which we remove for
recommending nonfree software (there is no rule against it) and doesn't
include software with nonfree documentation (we include it without the
documentation). A problem with the first issue is that many packages
are patched only in distros to solve this problem, the directory focuses
on upstream packages.
